About the League
Founded in 2006, we have now become one of the largest London-based amateur leagues in basketball. From a mere handful of players and referees back in 2006, we now not only run our own basketball league, but also provide a table and officials appointments service to many other London leagues at junior, university and national level. Licensing & Registration
All clubs, players and officials need to be licensed for this season.
Basketball Officials' Courses
We are arranging a number of referees' courses this season.
Season 2014/2015 will start in the second or third weekend of October. The process of registration is open for all clubs, players and coaches. The calendar for registrations is as follows:
- by 30th June we would have sent an invitation to all clubs in the Men's and Women's Divisions (existing clubs only).
- 15th July is the date line for existing clubs to confirm participation in the league and payment of first instalments.
- from the 16th July we will send invitations to the rest of the clubs to join our competitions. Preference to new clubs competing in the summer league.
- 11th September, workshop for club secretaries and coaches
- 11th or 12th October, league competitions are scheduled to start.
Men's Division One: Provisional fee of £930
Men's Division Two: Provisional fee of £850
Women's Division: Provisional fee of £550
You will need to add £70 deposit, £8 per adult player and £12 per adult coach/official. You can register team members (physiotherapist, statistician, member of your committee, etc) for £5. The league fee covers court bookings, officials' fees, registration with EB, and hire/purchase of equipment. All fees are for a division of 8 teams playing each other twice (women's division is 6 teams).

MEN'S SUMMER BASKETBALL LEAGUE 2014
The summer league has started on the 14th June. As from this weekend we will play at Mulberry School for Girls, Richard Street, London E1 2JP on Saturdays. LEVEL 2 REFEREE COURSE
We are running a level 2 referee course on the 2nd and 9th August. The course will take place at Raines Foundation School, Approach Road, London E2, from 10am to 6pm both days. The fees are:
- £100, all candidates except
- £80 LABL candidates
- £60 u-18 candidates
Candidates do not need previous experience or qualification in officiating. They will need to attend both days and pass a practical assessment and a written test. If they are successful, they will need to pass 3 assessments in an official competition in the next 12 months.
Candidates can apply for a grant to the Ian Pollard Development Fund. They can also request to pay by instalments the fee and costs of uniform, license, etc. Contact us on email@example.com for more information.
JUNIOR SUMMER BASKETBALL LEAGUE 2014
The junior summer league will take place at a venue to be confirmed (most possibly Raines Foundation School and/or Bishop Challoner Catholic School). There will be two pools of five teams each. All teams will play at least five matches plus play-offs. The fee is £180.00 plus £40.00 deposit. The clubs must be registered with England Basketball. If your club and/or players/coaches are not registered with England Basketball, we may subsidise your application. New teams from disadvantaged backgrounds will have preference.
All matches will be played as per FIBA rules (stop-clock, two referees, two table officials, etc.). If you would like to participate, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org
Pool 1: London Pulse, Barnet Bulldogs
The two top teams will receive a £100.00 discount in their league fee if they choose to join the league (U-18 Division) in season 2014/2015.
